Position Overview

Brooklyn Manny & Nanny is seeking an experienced and compassionate nanny for our client's 5-month-old son with therapeutic support needs and 3-year-old daughter in Tribeca. This role requires someone who can implement therapeutic techniques at home for the infant, maintain detailed communication with parents, and provide loving, attentive care as the children grow. While the daughter attends school most of the day, the primary focus will be on the infant's care and developmental support.

Schedule & Location

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00/6:00 PM. The position is located in Tribeca, New York.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for a 5-month-old boy with therapeutic support needs
Implement daily physical therapy exercises and techniques at home following professional guidance
Assist with the 3-year-old daughter when she returns from school
Communicate effectively with parents about children's development, progress, and daily activities
Coordinate with therapists and medical professionals to ensure consistency in care approaches
Maintain detailed records of medical routines, therapy exercises, and developmental milestones
Administer medication as needed and according to prescribed schedules
Adapt care approach as the children's needs change and develop over time
Create a nurturing, stimulating environment that supports the children's development
Attend medical and therapy appointments as needed

Requirements

Experience caring for infants and preschool-aged children
Experience with children with therapeutic support needs preferred (Especially Physical Therapy), but not required for the right candidate
Willingness to learn and implement therapeutic techniques for developmental support
Strong understanding of developmental milestones and early intervention techniques
Physical agility to potentially assist with mobility as the child grows
Ability to administer medication and willingness to learn specialized care techniques
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain/update)
Educational background that supports understanding of developmental needs
Excellent communication skills for detailed parent updates and professional collaboration
Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background check
Reliable, patient, and adaptable personality
Legal authorization to work in the United States
